this is not a fashion blog

I can’t help it. Here’s the thing. I have vacillating feelings about fashion. I love fashion and design as an art form, but I think it can be dangerous because its easy for society to put too much importance on it. Too much attachment. Too much desire.

That said, I LOVE animals, one of my current favorite trends is that animals are ALL OVER the place. I personally can’t wear rings because I have giant man-hands, also a career that requires me to live in latex gloves, but I do think these are lovely, and FUN!

So, these photos looked lovely on my phone, but when I uploaded themmmm….. not so much. Bummer. However, they are gone now, donated to a school for a fundraising auction, so I will just have to live with the photos the way they are. On the upside (I think) I still have 200 of these suckers to paint. I enjoy painting them, but they are super labor-intensive, each block having six sides (duh), so I don’t think they are very practical for making money off from… is anything I ever do? This is why I am poor.

So I have never really grown out of my fascination with dollhouses. It really ties into my fascination with little worlds… cellular biology, terrariums, fish tanks, I just love little systems. You know when you suddenly are inspired by something and then it starts showing up everywhere? Yeah, that’s how I feel about these big heads. I have absolutely no **need** to make one of these, but I’m sure once its built its uses will be endless.
